Could someone explain what the Aerowipers are and the benefits?
Also on V.A.G Parts theres 2 listings for S2 for Aerowipers one cheaper than the other, whats the difference?

Its really a cosmetic 'tart' thing I can get away with saying that as I have them fitted on the front.

Thanks Blu_S2, lol after reading the thread it's cosmetic makeup for the S2.

Looks nice though, but boost gauge and new 12" Sub come first before that one on my list.

After all the recent rain we've had I've had a real chance to put them to the test. I know they seem to be a cosmetic upgrade, but I think they really wipe the screen better than the OEM blades. I find there is noticeably less wind noise on the motorway at speed too.

They are a bit of eye candy yes, but they work darn well too!!

It's not just a cosmetic change, they actually wipe better on the S2 than the standard ones did - no JUDDER, and no lift at speed. Ie you can actually drive in the rain without going nuts at the noise and being left 1/2 blind by the fact that the blades aren't clearing the screen!

lol, i might be thick but I am counting 4 wipers there. 2 Lupo and 2 Golf

I think he means you need, two passenger lupo gti wiper arms (the metal parts) and two passenger Golf mk4 blades (the rubber parts).

Hope I got that right

Dan is correct, they really are a huge improvement of the OEM versions, and they look great too

have to agree with jas and dan, performance over stock wipers, much improved. the rear on the avant has a slightly smaller sweep but looks sooo much better. the fronts sit much lower and reduce wind noise and work better too.

So I have the following P/N for the LHD coupe. Can anyone confirm:

Wiper arms 2x 6X1 955 410C (also is the 6X1 955 410A older reference)
Wiper blades 2x 1J1 955 426A
