The price is a bit high - maybe I would try these aeros for standard arms first..
But before that i have to check the rear wiper which is not running at all

With a few mods they should look like this:

Also, you can pick up the Avant rear aero wiper and blade off ebay for £25 delivered.

Pic was taken from this thread
              http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=405

This is the old VAG Parts kit, Doug has bent the arm a little to get it to line up.

But Paul N also made this comment:
The long (UK) passenger side blade is pants in my opinion - you have to run the blade much higher than driver side and becomes much less visible. I run with two front wipers the same size... then I can keep much lower profile. I have no clearance issues.

Sure I had to bend the drivers side just a little before fitting but thats all. Wiped area with the shorter passenger blade is obviously a bit shorter than stock but its not in important areas of the screen.

Just an honest inquiry, How is this different than the U clip aero blades?

Uses the aero wiper arms as well as the blades (they attach completely differently to the U clip blades). The arms are most of the cost Am looking for an alternative but VAG aren't stupid, a lot of conversions use Lupo parts so the price goes up. D'Oh.

Mine need a little tweaking when I get the time. The parts quoted are different. They need a bit of work to fit them, originally look like this when Martyn did the first kit:-

I bought the right hand drive Avant Aero kit from VAG Parts the week before they stopped trading

                      6X2 955 409 C front arm
                      6X2 955 409 C front arm
                      6Q6 955 707 C rear arm
                      6Q6 955 425 A rear wiper blade
                      1J2 955 425 B front wiper blade
                      1J2 955 425 B front wiper blade

They're all from VW GOLF acording to Martin an VAG Parts

Also the divers arm needs to be bent to stop it touching the windscreen trim

As for replicating the VAG Parts kit, the latest parts they used were the lupo items, as per epic's post.

Here's the Lupo part numbers I've fitted.
                        • 6X2 955 409C
                        • 6X2 955 410C
                        • 1J2 955 426B
                        • 3B2 955 425E

On the coupe the longer passenger side arm is required to prevent the blades from interacting, not sure if this is the case on the Avant. A driver's side arm could be used with a shorter blade, I'll look into this.

OE Golf parts used by VAG Parts are NLA and have been for some time.

I'll have a look at the 2 driver's side arm option with a shorter blade, should be able to use the passenger side item I have on the rear.

There is some old threads on here about using a merc rear aero blade arm on a coupe - works out around £22 quid for one, stiglet has one on his and I think wolfgang was the other.
