    BORING. Flat Blades

    Sorry people.

Not a BHP question, just a wiper issue. Getting some new ones tommorow and keep seeing these new "flat" blades.

    Any one tried them?

A pair of Bosch ones are almost £30 quid round here but I guess you get what you pay for.

    Thanks.

If you mean Aero wipers they're good, much quieter and last longer.

Don't you need the 'special arms kit' though that Vagparts (RIP) used to sell, ie left and right ?
For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2

They work really well, got them on the S6. Wipe cleaner for longer but can wear quicker if used a lot at high speed. As the faster you go the more they force into the windscreen. Until at 160-165mph the force becomes so great the poor old Audi wiper motor can no longer move them as I discovered on a vmax event last weekend on a 190mph pass in the wet in my mates car.

Glad I didn't buy some Polo aero wiper arms and blades last year, otherwise, I'd have spent a fortune...

Well on my coupe I had the aero blades which fit straight on. Were so much quieter and smoother until they needed replacing and then they made some orrible noises. A mate fitted aeros to his Nissam 200sx and all they did was squeak from day 1 until he ripped them off in a rage and went back to normal ones.
