Hi guys, long time since I posted on here since I swapped my thirsty B3 coupe quattro for a B5 A4 Quattro Saloon with the AFN diesel engine.
I've inherited some rusty arches with the car which are terminal and need replacing, i'm worried it will transfer onto the chassis if left untreated.
I managed to source one side in the right colour, the passenger side at least that is corrosion free so i'm in the process of swapping it over, however I'm unable to source the other side in the right colour (Casablanca White, LY9G) so am waiting and watching for a suitable donor part.
The driver's side is getting worse and worse in these wet conditions, and was wondering if there was any way to at least slow down the rust until I can source a new wheelarch?
Just read an article on Pistonheads talking about this stuff called ACF-50 corrosion blocker, which sounds like a chemical rust converter. Has anyone had any experience using this stuff? or is there a better alternative?
ACF-50
