The reason it doesn't raise and lower evenly is because the cable has stretched, there is only so much you can do to correct that, its not possible to totally get rid of it but you can tighten it a little bit. The difficult part is that the glass seals at an angle not vertically into the seal recess due to the shape of the glass , so as well as adjusting the height you also need to adjust the shims behind the regulator frame to get it to seat up into the seal recess.
Took me about 4 hours to set up my driver side one last time I changed the regulator and it still isn't perfect, it occasionally pinches the seal when you close the door, but it's at least watertight

That is the point I stopped at, no water coming in, not touching it again in case it ends up worse!

SteveH and I sepnt a bit of time getting this right yesterday and followed a similar method to those that I proposed above. With some glass suckers with handles, we could have done the job a little easier. The key is getting the window attached to the frame properly first, such that it takes less adjustment on the mechanism to door. Tested up to a ton and no wind noise

I recon this a two man job for sure. It takes some time, but worth it in the end. My drivers side needs the same treatment too

I also have the same problem, i get wind noise above 80 kmh. If i push the driver side window upwards at an angle, the noise stop. When i let go, it goes back into place and makes wind noise again.
Is it a matter of adjusting the spacers on the frame?
Do i need more different spacers?
How do you attach the window properly to the frame before you adjust?
