    Grille fitment RS2

My grill was fitted with 3 self tappers, a wing and several prayers. Now I've bought the 7 clips from Audi Tradition, please could someone tell me how they fit on? Do they need screws to go through them too? If anyone had a photo that would be great, thanks!

I will open by saying that the RS2 grill clips are ****ing ****!
Probably the worst idea by Porsche since they stuck the engine in the wrong end of a sports car.

Yup you need some nice stainless pan-head screws to tighten the clips onto the frame tabs.
I will try and take some pics of mine later

OEM ones which are 'dedicated' for the grille are not cheap ....

I was told by Audi Tradition that the screws were not originally fitted, but I am not so sure, as mine has screws to hold the clips in place.

                  Gents,

                  They need screws for sure.

I recently replaced mine, the problem is they are made of spring steel and corrosion occurs at the points where they bend (does that make sense !), they loose their spring properties and become useless... If the grill is loose then this is likely to be the problem, but be careful, once you take them off, they WILL dissolve in your hand.

To make them last a bit longer, I dipped mine is a rust preventing solution (rust killer), then let them dry. I have also heard people give them a coat of other paints etc...

Definitely use something as they are a weak point...

                  PAUL

Not a bad idea painting or dipping them in rust killer.

The RS2 grill clips are rubbish, as Alex says their probably the worst thing Porsche has designed, I gave up trying to get mine to fit properly and sold it on.
