are you sure? i thought the bottom part would hinder the door closing with it being double skinned?

they do. have a look on arons website.
also i have them on mine. if you remove the original it leaves a huge void so there's nothing to attach the carbon one to.
it is purely a cover. they don't affect the door closure on mine. the only thing i found was that the window seal is rushed out slightly.
my passenger side one fits like a glove but the drivers side one sits slightly proud at the top?
i came close to taking them off because of this but i recently used some very good tape and warmed the cover in the oven at 90 then fitted it its fitted perfect since.

whay tape did you use? i was thinking of using windscreen mastic, have you any close up pics? did you have to trim them at all? as i`ve tried a test fit and they sit quite proud at the top

I told you mate, its have to glue up to the original. I try to find some How-t pics, but my hard drive died. Its very easy. Its will fit very nice. You can use some kind of hard double side tape, or windshield glue.

its will be looks like this:

i found the passenger one fits perfect but the drivers side kept coming away at the top at the rear. in the end i used mammoth tape and put the whole thing in the oven at 90 for 10 mins. it came more pliable and stuck well. only problem is there is a couple of tiny fractures in the finish from having to be messed with so much. other than that they look good

If you need to remove the trim its pretty easy. It is riveted on, the rivets are behind the door seal, IIRC there are also two screws at the bottom.

i might have to try mine with some of that then. drivers side one won't stay put and keeps peeling away at the top and its starting to get little cracks in the top coats . well done mate.
