Does the back of the trim have the same slot groove like the original or do you have a different design for the back of the trim to better fit the heavy duty double sided tape?

Short update.
Its very far from the finish, but i know, we cant mount with double side tape. We try to make the mounting, as the original was mounted. Not easy, but possible.

That could be an issue as the plastic inserts may become unavailable from audi at some point.

Does that mean it won't be possible to retrofit them on cars that didn't have them factory fitted? Sorry I may just be talking bs here as I know little about how they're attached to the door. I was just hoping I would be able to fit them to my 2.6E Avant which didn't come with these factory fitted, unlike S2s and RS2s.

Problem is mine are starting to peel off on the drivers door so at least need to fix one.

Anyone put thought as to how we can prevent the OEM from rotting? Perhaps treat the steel bits?
