  • Front bumper washer jets advice ?

    Afternoon all,

I'll keep it simple, is there a particular way to fit s2 washer jets to a "non washer jet" v6 bumper ? Obviously I will have to cut a hole out but what I meant to bolt them to ? Has anyone done this before ?

    Any advice appreciated,

    Sam

Can I ask why you want to fit the washer jets? IMHO it looks better without, and unless your running HID's then I dont really see the need?

I haven't got HIDs and I'm doing it purely for cosmetic, I like the way they look, and want to have a S2'd B3 front end, I have done the bumper and have a decent look mesh grille. So like I said, purely cosmetic, I like the way they look.

They are held in by two 10mm nuts. Simple

Yeah I have the two 10mm nuts for each jet but there is nothing internally for them to bolt on to will be looking for the metal plates/brackets mentioned above once I've sorted other bits and pieces. Thanks for the help guys.

part 5 - either check with audi if they still supply them or just make them

That was the plan if I couldn't get hold of them, can't be too hard to fashion something

Look at the back of your bumper, holes in crossmember should be already there. You have to drill holes in bumper skin. Washer pod goes through hole and metal plate bolts on from behind. Easy

Why not fit the RS2 washer jets. I think they may be a lot easyer to do and look nicer than the S2 jets. part no,s are. A8AO 955 101 GR U jet carrier £11.25 x2. A8AO 955 137 Hex nut £0.78 x2 and A8AO 955 138 Packing £11.01 x2. Good luck with what ever you do.
