It won't be a popular view but that's a sure write off, and unless you're absolutely mental or work in a bodyshop yourself then it won't be worth spending the money to sort it out. Even if you did, I think things will have moved too much to ever give me confidence in the car.
For a start, make sure you get the car moved to your home address. Let the assessor view it at yours. At least this way it will not be building storage charges.....
It sucks wham your car gets damaged through no fault of your own! I feel your pain
That is such a shame !
I dread this sometimes when I'm stationary and I can see another driver baring down on me in my rear view mirror who is clearly not paying attention to the road.
Depending on where you are I have a complete rear quarter you can have for free off my Quattro but you will have to cut it out yourself and bring the necessary equipment to do so (I have no power in the garage)
I also have a mint coupe rear bumper
Best of luck with the insurance company and rebuilding your S2
Thanks Gripper, il bear that in mind once i've got the car back.

Insurance company said that they'd move it to one of their yards and assess it there as its their protocol.
They will then let give me a value for payout and re-buying.
I feel your pain and your anger. What gets me it's always someone else who ruins our
Cars for us. Never you and me because we cherish our cars. Been hit the same whilst stationary in morning traffic on the M40 at Northolt back in 1998 thank god it wasn't one of my audis.
I would say its a write off but it doesn't take much to write something of nowadays,so that could be a good thing. Bear with me,good because it's not that bad.I have personally repaired exactley the same damage where rear quarter pushed forward and quite badly creased. As long as the roof panel is fine and the door gap is unchanged between the B pillar and door rear edge it's definitely doable and not that bad.will require a dozer to pull the rear wing back and you will definitely need a new rear floor pan and a rear panel but no great shakes really and very straight forward to repair.
Good luck mate.
With regards to the rear floor pan, is this something that can be pulled out using a jig if its not severely damaged?
Having had my coupe written off last year when someone side swiped me i feel your pain. Not as bad as mine but will probably still be a write off from insurance point of view. Try and get a Cat D or at worst Cat C, as if its A or B i don't think you can buy it back from them and it certainly won't be able to go back on the road.
I bought mine back kept some shiny bits and sold the rest for spares/repair. Then bought an avant

Yes if the floor pan doesn't look too bad then it can be pulled out for sure with the right equipment and skill. You need to ascertained there is no roof damage and the gap between rear door skin edge to B post is unchanged if that's the case great. Depends how far you want to go but I would change one or other of the rear quater or floor pan as it will be new and can be used as a DATUM reference. In your case if you don't mind paying I would probably change the rear quarter, big job,but once painted will be perfection.
To recap, ref roof and B post gap being good, remove rear quater and rear panel. Offer up and clamp in place rear quater and rear panel and they will see exactley how much the floor needs pulling out. There are many ways to skin a cat so to speak but the reference datum is vital if you are to get a perfect job.
Keep us posted and why not if you can post up a picture of the damaged floor pan.

I actually called the AA before i called my insurance company. They recovered mine to my house and i just sent photos to the insurance company no assessor came to view it (a good thing i think)
A bit late for you, but i'd borrow a truck/trailer and get your car back.
Some silly b**** of a lady driver drove into me yesterday whilst i was visiting some friends in London.
I had just stopped at a traffic light and she must not have seen a nice shiny S2 in front of her as she hit me at some speed!
Some people should really be banned from driving for f*** sake!!!
Thanks
If she was going quickly when she hit you then she wasn't paying attention. This isn't good enough, someone could have been badly hurt. Speak to the police, say you're prepared to make a statement and ask whether they're going to pursue her for driving without due care and attention.
