urS6 - Fuel Tanks - Where do they rust ?

As per title, as I want to carry preventative maintenance on mine.

2WD are plastic and quattro metal?

From what I've heard they go around the seam in the middle.

Passenger side of the propshaft on the vertical face is the only place where I've seen them go( 6 at least) I have some pics of one somewhere

Above the exhaust and its heat shield. Just at the seam. Mine looked a bit tatty untill I cleanes it then it pissed petrol on me. Its a job to change!
