I've moved on to Minstrels and Rioja whilst watching Arsenal tonight (great game) after Alex slated my culinary choices last night.

I had delayed flight yesterday... perfect time to watch some of the tutorial vids on youtube on this... its never going to create a showroom finish that compares to traditional paint, but its impressive stuff if applied properly at a fraction of the cost of regular paint. I am tempted to try a wheel or two over the winter and see how it goes - the all road wheel look terrible right now and a pro refurb is outrageous cost. The way it just peels off when you change your mind is amazing.

I am tempted to try clear gloss plastidip on my 6-spoke speedlines to see how it works for protecting them, I suspect it will be pretty good, and not detract from the appearance either.

could you just apply this to a standard set of rims run them through the winter and peel off when the salt is finally washed away in the spring?

Wonder how well it would stand up to treating the sidewalls so you never have to apply tyre-black again

how resistant to brake dust is it?

No idea, I guess if you run greenstuff pads or similar then it may be a moot point, but even if it lasted only a year before looking bad because of brake dust, it would be worth it to protect your wheels.

im not even bothered about peeling it off, was thinking of sanding the car first for a more long term hold.

i just want a cheapish paint i can easily match in for then i have an off at the track, or if i change to fibre glass panels later i can paint them and put them on at they wont look no different. im not too fussed on how the car looks to be honest, i just want it to be fast

i like the charcoal grey colour
