That is gutting mate, there are so many dicks out there who don't know how to drive! When it comes to dealing with the insurance, do not accept the first offer. They will not take into consideration the money you have spent on the car in the last but you can use examples of other RS2's in the same condition that have sold in the last year as proof of current market value rather than what they think its worth. Really hope you get it back on the road though.Comment

I have put together a dossier of all the other RS2's on the market with a similar mileage and in similar, original condition. Non of which are under the €20K mark. I have a meeting with the assessor on Thursday, I will present them to him.
In the mean time, does anyone know where I can buy a new rear panel, inner and outer, bumper and bumper bar. I would like to look as though I am presenting not just a problem but a solution too.
I went to see a pal today who straightens out all sort of exotic machinery worthing 10x plus what my old beast is, he reckons it's dead easy fix.Comment

Really sad to hear about your situation buddy, but pretty happy that she's gonna get fixed. Modern technology so cool, just hope I won't ever have to go through all that with any of my cars.

Hi, Great news that they are going to fix your car, very happy for you. I was just wondering if they are fixing the car, do they also offer you any payment towards the fact that the car will be reduced in value due to it being a category write off? Sorry, not trying to rub salt into wounds, I am sure you are just happy that your car is going to stay on the road with you behind the wheel, I just think that the Morons that run into the back of us should pay to fix the car and compensate us for any future re-sale losses.Comment
