I had a friendly dealer produce a 4.5 page (double spaced) document for my 94 V8 S4 avant that told me way more than just the 30 codes on the build tag did. All he needed was the VIN and access to the Audi data base.

Otherwise the square build tag in the warranty book or in the boot/trunk area of the vehicle will tell you quite a lot, including colour, etc.
    I can do that.

Please ignore the language but click on pdf file with vin number each post under my messages

incl previous pages. so you will see what I am talking about.

Takes cars from m.y 1992-1994 only.. not for older models.

Yes all of those factory programs cost money to use.
It has to be worth for you to have a subscription to them.

            Well not really.
just being a nice guy here and there in the forums and making those modification pdf's and finding exact part numbers on request if the car is 2001+

Years ago it was free. afterwards lex-com closed that possibility. then the Russian site came up, it gave 3 vin/day. Later it reduced to 1 free vin per day and this is where i acquired 1 month subscription, which is until the 3rd of july iirc.

Not sure if i will extend it though. It is just nice to have thing but far from a must have thing. I like playing with part/repair catalogs/software, but thats it.

long story short, need something vin/etka related, let me know, will help.
