I decided to strip, spot blast and re-coat my transmission tunnel as it is rusty and ugly. However some of the weld studs are snapping off in the process. Any good ideas how to address this? I was thinking of just sticking a screw through from the inside and weld it.. IMG_20170318_135744.jpg
iff you want..there are those studs for holding brake pipe clips etc... separate and there is a special adapter to the welder to fit those...
I will try to make a photo
Rivet studs is a good idea.
I've found N90261401 and N90716103 which could be applied with a normal rivet plier. Seems a good alternative. Will ask on monday if the stealer still has them.
