Chromed S2 Mirrors

Anyone seen this done?

My mirrors dnt really have much paint left from the abuse they take, so am looking at getting them re-painted, but i keep having the vision of chromed look, like on the new S cars in my head....

Just not too sure whether or not, as they are plastic, it would work and if it does, how well they'd last compared to paint.

Anyone any opinions on this?

I was going down this route a while ago as I also like the look. It's a mare trying to get a nice finish.The chrome coating kinda tarnishes giving a yellowie gold look, not good. I'm still on the trail just looking at different plastics etc.....

i did have a contact for plastic chroming, will try and find it at work

also heard some one had developed a 2pac chrome paint

Yeh ive heard of this 2pac paint as well, not seen it tho.

Gonna hunt around a bit more later on i think, no doubt Jamo will have post a few comments and a dozen links to ebay by then tho

Just a view - but i reckon chrome finish on the rs2 type mirrors might work - the image of the oem square s2 mirrors in chrome........naaaaaaah.

LOL just seem to be very very heavily stone chipped, as i dnt live in london my car gets a lot of lane driving etc usually following a mate or vice versa so lots of stones getting flicked up.

My bonnet front could do with a bit of TLC as well really.

I have seen it in the Frost catalogue, I can't find it on their web site tho'.....

I love the new chrome look on the s cars. But its not a bright chrome look, its more of a brushed look, and i dont mean hand painted!!!

I was thinking of that brushed ali kinda look more than pure chrome look.... and the idea of a paintbrush hadnt entered my head!
