      Looks really nicely made, well done. There does not seem to be much range of movement in it from lowest to highest point though but if its enough to lift the engine out then its all good.

            Looks great! I'm sure it will work fine
            If you need more reach you can always reinforce the upright and slide a length of box section in or over the jib and use some pins to adjust the length - i like it

              Got the painting finished today. I also bought the engine stand. They seems to suit each other very well.

                  Had a couple of hours today to test the crane. Seems to hold the weight of the engine very well.

                    very nice bit of work there, i saw the last picture first and thought 'thats an odd looking lifting hook' i didnt have a single clue it was home made

                      Thanks!

                      Made also a stainless basin for the engine stand to collect the dripping oil and coolant, so they don't mess up the floor.
