    List of Problems HELP PLEASE!!!!

    Guys,

A noise is winding me up now. It is a small grinding/ bearing noise that is only audible when the blower fan is on and I'm accelerating, turning, hit a bump in the road etc. It goes from bad to worse aswell. Any idea if it is an easy fix (to get to it and get it out and replaced) or if there is anything else I can do.

Slowly working through the list of probs.

    1. Leaky ariel (sorted)
    2. Rear internal light (over back seat) - fell apart when investigating 1.
    3. Heater blower motor - as above
    4. A squeeky duck like sound from the front near the alternator (only happening at idle)
    5. Large clunk / bang from engine bay when cornering/over bumps - enginemount????
    6. Boot seal - cause of a leak section missing around the lock (on car body not hatch)

If anyone can help with any of the above please do. All that seems to be happening at the mo is I save some money for tuning and then something else goes which just drains it all away again.

    Cheers

Its possible to change the heater fan by removing the glove box, apparently. I did mine while the dash was out so couldn't swear to it. as you say the noise is really annoying.
Belts are often noisy on these cars..

Try removing your Pollen filter if you have one . Access is in engine bay under
wiper arms cover so that you can actually see the fan blades.
Use a powerful vacuum cleaner to suck up any leaves, feathers or dirt lodged
in their ( close flaps for better suction), Squirt some WD 40 to desolve any crap or despence any water,
then spray down some white grease to re-lubricate.
PS: you can spray Air-con system cleaner which gets rid of that bacteria smell
you get and sanitises the whole air inlet system.

        Total time--- 30mins
        total cost £----6-8 Max
Cost of fresh smelling fan ---Priceless

          Way hay.

1 & 2 are sorted. The fan is getting it this friday.

          Cheers for the help guys.

Does anyone know if engine mounts are prone to going or if they take a bit of stick? It is either that or the exhaust is smaking the hell out of something on the bumps?

Boot seal, Vag parts, all audi???

Might be a bit late on this one but you can change the heater fan by taking glove box out. It twists out if i remember right and then just slot new one in and connect up

Cool, cheers for the help boys I will be looking tomorow.

Update - boot seal ordered and waiting to see about a blower motor from the bay.

Just got the two big expensive sounding ones to do now.
Anyone else had this sort of loud clunking from I'm guessing the engine bay. (funnily enough I cant have my head under the bonnet whilst cornering(hey just found a job for the other half, Hehe)), or should I say what can cause that sort of clunk/bang. I'ts got to be a mount or rubber somewhere?? Any pointers
