Heres the two relays, the wiring is joined together so they should be right next each other, they have 276 written on the top in big letters. The yellow plug is about six inches down the cable and joins to the loom for the two switches. The big fat red cable from the relays goes into a fuse holder with a 30amp fuse, then into a common bundle of red + wires and into the bottom of the fuse box with a great big spade connector.

If you need any other pics let me know as its all in a box infront of me..

P.S. When you find them can you tell me where there mounted, and where the wires to the seats run, around each side of the car or down the center console?

well, 1 year on and the seat heating still dosnt work, even after I have in to the blackmail and got it a performance clutch / flywheel

aaaaanyway, just as suggested by you lot, I went and purchased a multimeter, got some training lessons from google how to use the thing, and tested the cable under the seat and can confirm that power is going through it. So I guess its the seat itself that has the issue.

Ive ordered the bottom and back heating elements from VAG parts and got some "clips" to put the seat back together.

So my question is, has anyone done this job? Just trying to get a heads up so I dont naf my seat up, any BTDT? Ive never even removed a s2 seat :/

getting the seat out is a doddle, single bolt at the front then lean it backwards and slide out the rear of the runners. BEWARE, if you dont want grease on the carpet then you might want to put some rags or some gaffer tape behind the runners to stop it going on your mats/capet

The you have the fun of hog clips....might want to find the proper tool but some long nose pliers should work ok too, I managed with them when changing the seat base foam a good while back. Biggest challenge from memory was getting enough tension in the cable that runs around the bottom of the base when replacing the cover...

Gr8 done took me hours but done it. Swapped the heating elements from the base and back rest. The backrest was a doddle, the base was a pain however. I had to deal with about 20 hog rings.

Aaaanyway, should someone be interested in purchasing my temporary seat I had going please PM me, I no longer need it now Ive fixed my heated seat, picture attached
