Weight - let's think about it and have a guess based on what components are in there -
        Compressor, best guess, 7kg
Aircon 2ndary rad (thin rad behind main rad) - best guess, 3kg
        Dryer, best guess, 4kg
        Additional pipework, best guess, 3kg
        Coolant charge, best guess, 1kg

        Have I missed anything?

Pin hole leak at top of pipe, best place for a leak as total access, could of been much worse. Hole filled with aluminium resin and has been pressured fully so fingers crossed!!

              Cheers..

Are there two versions of air-con for the S2 by any chance?
I know there is a factory fitted air-con system, as well as an 'aftermarket' Diavia system (as fitted to mine by the dealer) for the ur-quattro at least.

It may explain the discrepencies in weight if this is the case.

I always assumed it was 18kg - and mine is (mostly) out now!

Didn't work properly for me (gas probably leaked out) but there will be a pile of bits if anyone has time to look at them and actually wants some of them. They won't be going anywhere in a hurry.

The UK people got the manual Aircon - the European spec was for the more sophisticated climate control, but both would have used the same cooling hardware.

If you end up having to order this hose check out this post first.

It seems that part number for this hose is wrong in EKTA.
