We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
It's the threaded nut which sit inside the hose which start to spin on itself so you can't close the valve completely. You might try pinching the nut on the hose with pliers when trying to tighten the bleeder.
I have a hose you can have if you like, it has been cut though but the bleed valve section is still in tact. Maybe you can butcher it and get the part you need..

Yeah that would be great PM me what you want for it and i'll send you some money. would you be able to post it tomorrow 1st class?
Oh dear, sorry Lee!
If the thread is stuck in and you wat to use the car, cover it in sikaflex. I had one similar, held it until I got a new hose!
Or its a good excuse for some samco's!
yeah i've done the same, but with silicone.i really ought to get a new hose, but i'll wait till i'm in the middle of nowhere with steam coming from under the bonnet and f*cking myself for not getting one before.
i have a brand new heater matrix, boxed and the hose (although the hose is still on the car at the mo) if you need one
Cheers but it's not the matrix that i need just the hose with the bleed valve, well just the screw really
Went to audi today and you have to buy the full hose for £36+vat. I'm going to look foe a metal screw with the same size thread and put a little gasket on it if the one i'm getting doesn't work
