Half an hour later, with rubber gloves and disinfectant, all signs of mouse nest have been removed, scrubbed the filter tray, and replaced the nasty pee-soaked fur-matted filter!

I was very worried seeing the filter had been chewed through but there aren't any signs of mouse down there at all so I think I may have got off lucky... I've gone for a quick blast and there is a drastic improvement but still a slight musty smell; really hoping there's not something dead inside the heater ducts

lol same thing with our washing machine, mouse fell between the contacts......crispy mouse!! still...at least we didnt go hungry that night.

Same here, found one inside the cooker with a paw on each terminal. Looked like something from a cartoon with its teeth sticking out and hair standing on end!

I'd say your little furry friend jumped ship as soon as you got the car going, doubt they like g-forces
