    Check your local hardware store for dampening/insulation materials.
    I've fitted lots of Nissens cores, never had any fitment or heating issues.

      My core was Meyle from quattrocorner. Fit was fine. Ideally, Valeo is the way to go as it's OEM.

        valeo worked fine for me. for the foam I've put in some self adhesive closed cell foam 3mm thick. fits perfect. If anybody wants a set I can cut them to size as a kit for heaterbox overhaul

          You mean scrim foam?

            Scrim is open cell.

            I used 2mm neoprene foam sheet, found on ebay, and taped the edges as well.
