Ever since I got my coupe the heater motor has made a slight chirp on speeds 1 and 2.
Tonight I undid the 4 bolts and took the motor out a clean and oil later and it's so quiet. ?

Great stuff and now i am wondering if mine might respond to your remedy? My low mileage aircon model 2.6 Avant fan motor makes a grumble but only when i turn right.

My avant heater fan makes a terrible racket at all speeds! Its an AC one though so not sure if it will come out with the dash in

Thats why i have left mine alone because it only does it turning right at low road speeds.With yours being like it all the time must be really annoying.Like me it's time to get it out but as you say with it being an Aircon model dash out and all that! Hope not.

The AC fan can be removed without removing the dash on a B3/4 but the glove box needs to come out unless your a real masochist or have magical powers. Not sure of the score with the C4 Chassis, sorry Mark.

I was referring the 80 Avant you saw back in sept Kit. Thanks for letting us know. The Superior build quality of the C4 seems to holding up well mate. But now i have said it....it might bite me now.

Oh yeah, durrr, I misread your post somehow and got it miked up with you sig in my brain

The fan is different to the non AC units but they are in much the same place.
