whats the best type of s/s to make a DP with? because i heard 304 will crack under the heat? is 316 the best to use?

316 is better than 304 but 304 is fine.

304 wont crack, as jamo says it will be fine, , ive used 316 bends and straights on mine ,

316 wont crack on dp either if you have an flexbellow,

I'm hoping to get to the exhaust guy tomorrow....and will get a price for a DP....bear with me...my car seems to be getting "sicker" by the day!!!

i will have 8x 3" downpipes made from s/s by the end of next week,we have just finished the prototype..
they are for stock location turbo,s2/rs2,coupe/avant and will have the option for a flexi joint if you wish...they all have 3 lambda/oxygen/egt sensor fittings in them 2 being in the header 1 in the lower section,these can be supplyed with bungs if you do not need all 3..
also available with v band etc
units can be custom made also..please pm if any interest

Bumping here also for interest. Spec sounds good. Assume build quality is good. What about price and availability ?

Does anyone have experience of replacing the dp on a urs4/s6? I'd like to go with a 3" dp but keep the rest of the exhaust as I like the fact that it's quiet and need to keep it below 98db so that i can do trackdays at Goodwood
