i have used the search button to try and figure this one out but i have had no joy with any of my searches, so maybe you kind people can enlighten me, whats the differance between and ABY airbox and an RS2 airbox and is there any gains to be had from the swap?

Accord type R being used by my missus but is my daily hack -
The air flow apperture in the front of the RS2 airbox is much bigger, and yes it increases performance....
There is a modification write up on here to make the apperture bigger in the ABY one. -

checkout this mods i did earlier today,only took me one hour to do
5" inlet[SIGPIC][SIGPIC]/SIGPIC]92 3B pearl white=gone back home to Germany,probably in bits and pieces
RS2 VOLCANO BLACK] soon to be broken to bits

just that and nothing else,it's all about getting the hole right.no need for any other mods.just fitted the airbox and it work perfect on my rs2.
on the S2 you might have to make the hole behind the light a little wider by using thesame pipe[SIGPIC][SIGPIC]/SIGPIC]92 3B pearl white=gone back home to Germany,probably in bits and pieces

As well as the input pipe size, the flow through the filter in the ABY airbox is somewhat restricted by the proximity of the lid, in the RS2 airbox the filter is mounted lower, ie. the lid is deeper and the base is shorter, to give better flow.
