Also it would be interesting to know what air filter's people use, one that won't collapse due to the turbo's power.

AEM filters have a plastic bracket under the cone, so they should not collapse.

I meant to fit a butterfly valve in there too but never got round to it, i still have the HKS filter and pipe lying around as no one wanted to buy it..

What size hks pipe connection? 100mm?

You can't run an air box once you go to a non stock position manifold
