    Interesting choice of adjective.

We tend to use 'Great' or 'United' when we describe our country, but if '******' is more accurate for Slovenia, then who are we to complain

      Quick question about subframes....
Would I be right in saying that it is entirel possible to modify the existing seat base to accept a recaro seat (not wishing to reuse the S2 seat afterwards) by cutting and / or welding, and then simply mounting the recaro on....?
If this is the case, then I will happily cannibalise my existing S2 seats to allow me to fit my Recaros which I have in my mums loft, left over from a Supra project a couple of years ago. If anyone remembers them, they are Recaro Milenniums, in black..... quite nice, but generally only available in Japan......

LHD_Kid: what u see in this pic is a modified driver side audi 80 seat frame.

It is a pity that it is impossible to use the height adjustment, as the seat would stand far too high. Do not destroy the s2 seats, sell them, and buy some standard audi 80 seats for cheap (from year 86 ->)

I know what you mean, Rs2 recaros are way too high. my knees scrape the steering wheel and I have to have my knee bent over to press brake and accel. Heel and toe is real awkward.

            AND they rattle like hell!!!

Impossible to use the hight adjustable function?

I seem to remember my escort recaro's that was fitted into my coupe still having the height adjustment on them as we mated the bases of the escort one's to the bases out of a spare pair of coupe seats. I have got another 2 pairs of recaro's about to have the bases cut up for forum members on here so when I deliver the seats to them it is just a bolt in job with the forward backwards and height adjustments oem style all they have to do is re-trim the seats or speak to my mate as the seats in the pictures cost me for both front, rear and gearknob gaitor £210 to be re-trimmed.

They seem to be as low as they can get. All the electrics and gubbins underneath are pretty much on the deck.

                nice trim

can you leave those there all nite? :mischeif:
