The Mk3 rs1600i has fishnet recaro's which are like hen's teeth.

when you say your seats have black leather outers and original inners are you talking about in your audi or ford?

Mine doesn't have fishnet recaros as it was never fitted with them. Fishnets are pre MK3 escort.

Was just saying that the seats are recaro's out of an rs - turbo, nice seats especially with the leg bolsters.

rs2 and all of them seats you have mentioned above.. ( some nice ones.) as i thought the only other car to have the same seats as an rs2 was porsches ..

i say this because recaro must and do make so many seats i recon porsche wouldnt want anything that was on a ford. not being fordist .

They are different to the one's found in the RS2 as they are not as heavy bolstered and not electric. I thought the RS2 seats only came in the rs2's and IIRC some cabrios that the owners ticked the option on the options list.

Looks like an early sierra sapphire as its got opening rear doors and none of the escorts/cossie's had that apart from the sapphire's and the later one's had lovely leather recaro's, kind of like the rs2 one's except not electric.

RECARO make seats - if Ford/Skoda/Ferrari want them in their cars then they order them in whatever colour/material they fancy and then stick them in their cars.

Have a look on their website and you'll see that the current S3/RS4 etc seats are part of the Recaro range - just with some additional detailing - such as "RS4" stitched into the headrest. It would be extremely expensive to order a few hundred one-off designs from Recaro.

yup the rs4/6 and S3 seats are also in the mondeo ST220. i guess when you product is the best there is little need to make tons of bespoke products.....re-skin it with a model embossed cover and job done
