looks like vinyl( fake leather) although could be cheap leather also. looks very good.

Has that dash been modified (cut back) or was there a B4 dash that came like that?

If it was cut back, they did a good job

any good shop that puts stereo equipment in cars will be able to make something for you.Usually these are frames of some sort(plastic,alloy,wood) and then wrapped in any cloth you wish(leather,alcantara,vinyl etc).

obvisouly the molding of the material is the difficult stage to make

Nothing fancy done here, just took some padding away from the edge off the dashboard to get the frame and screen to fit fine. Regretting this mod now, because it's just dead weight anyway
