Right, got a pair of mk.3 Golf subframes to try and test fit of the driver's side one shows that it fits just fine
looks to be about 10mm higher but Recaro also do a reduced height mk.3 subframe. All good since the coupe/80/90 subframe went NLA!

There are some Golf mk.3 subframes for lower seat position, they have the front bar cut and welded lower.Leave a comment:

Mine are just low enough, not sure if they would be ok with a Corbeau seat and Anthony's freakishly disproportionate body.
Worth a try though.Leave a comment:

If you get some frames made like Stiggy's then you can custom sort the hole spacings. The Corbeau Forza are damned good seats for the money, more for harnesses than 3 points tho IMO.Leave a comment:

problem is that Corbeau seats come up all the time on ebay at under £100 a pair, my mate has some in his golf and i think there spot on...dont see the point in the higher price tag of the speeds, not for me at least. i'll have to take his and alex's seats out one day and compare them.....

You could adapt it but no point. Get some Recaro Speeds out of a Mitsy and some subframes, job done.Leave a comment:

may be a daft question, but can Corbeau/cobra ext seats fit on recaro subframes?? seems that recaro are the only ones that sit low but dont like the idea of spending mega amount of cash on a recaro seat....

Ebay.de seems to have thrown up 1 of each subframe that I'm after to try, now to try and get a response for sending them over here...Leave a comment:

The Corbeau subframes in my car say "Golf III" on them. They are very high but I don't know if that's because they're Golf ones but they do fit.Leave a comment:
