The lower bolts can be accessed with the carpet still fitted, although you need to bee careful not to tear the carpet.

You can also remove the upper bolts on this bracket and leave the the lower bolts in place and remove the dash with the bracket still fixed to the transmission tunnel.

So here's a quandry... pic attached of rear of my dashboard at the glovebox area - this is allegedly where the cruise control module attaches but I for one cannot see how or where.

And a pic of upper area of passenger side of A-pillar... Notice the integral thread clipped in above the big white cable grommet. What threads into this I wonder ?

I could attach the cruise control module here, but I'm not convinced... Nothing is using it on my car... Looks more like an earth strap point, but you can see that is lower down on the pillar.

Paul, it's a second earth pad on the bodyshell, the giveaway is the brass pad just like the earth point next to it. There was nothing on it on my car but I've used it as the single and exclusive earth point for all my in-car audio to minimise noise.

The cruise control ECU bracket is part of the glovebox latch assembly and directly above the latch - that is the part of the latch mechanism bolted to the dashboard not the glovebox part.

I'll send you pictures of the steps involved in taking a steering wheel with integral airbag off.

On page 2 of your guide I suggest you clarify that whilst the front speakers and wiring are attached to the dashboard, the rear speakers plug into the front speaker loom and must be unplugged before you can pull the dashboard away.

Even though I've had my dashboard out before your guide was a great help today reminding me of how it should be done and what I'd forgotten from before

          John

Thank you so much for this guide. I went out at 13:30 last night to make a stert, did ok, just a few bits to do and hope fully I will be able to start on the engine bay loom replacement.

Paul this is an excellent thread, just wish I'd looked at it before stripping the dash of my RS2...

It seems like s2central.com is missing some things. Does anyone have complete rip/mirror from the original site?

I also noticed that the .com site doesn't have all the good guides. I could use all of them if someone has them.
