The two small gauges in the dash have stopped working, I've been getting variable readings from these 2 for ages, sometimes reading correctly and sometimes low, but now nothing showing at all. So whatever supplies them with voltage, a regulator or circuit track has finally failed completely I reckon. Does anyone have any idea what this might be please?
Most probably a bad connetction between the gauges and the PCB. I sorted this with re-soldering the "rings" on the PCB in my old car. I can find you some pictures, if interested.
The gauges are fed with 10 volts via a dark grey coloured 3 pin regulator chip - which looks like a three pin transistor - on the back to the instrument cluster. The regulator is only a push fit so try removing it and cleaning the pins and refitting.
