    WTD Recaro Seats....

As it says I am looking to upgrade the seats in my S2 Coupe with a set of Recaro seats...

I would like 'em in CREAM leather if there is such a beast if not any other option or condition will do as I will get them re-covered....

Also looking for a set for a MK2 Golf if anyone knows of one!!!

mk2 golf ones are relatively easy to come by but are different to the s2 ones in design and subframe fitment. Corrado ones will fit in the mk2 but the seat will be slightly lower.
s2 ones do crop up from time to time and still reach very good money, imo too much money. There are better, more comfortable and supportive seats around for far less money, however for the oem+ look you cant beat them. Might also be worth mentioning if you want a heated set or not
    Good luck

If you are happy to get them recovered, why not use the opportunity to get something newer/better?

        Gav,

Thanks for the tips.... I know about the Corrado ones but they sit too low and I really would like OEM ones for both... I saw that you have fitted some porsche seats to yours...

The Golf Is in getting a full respray at the mo....

        Dest,

I have thought of that too but I would still like to keep it OEM spec...

        Cheers guys

I run a pair of Recaro Speeds in my S2, tight but very good. Could get some off ebay and get them covered. Problem is Recaro subframes are NLA

You can fit any seat in any car with a bit of cutting and welding?!

My main reason Id want to change the front seats is because the originals weigh a ton

a lot of the weight is the height adjustment subframe, you could bin that and drill a few speed holes in the base, they'd each be about 6-8 kg lighter I think

OE 22kg, Speeds 19kg ready to fit.

You can fit them but the Recaro frames are superior as they use the OE runners instead of universal runners and so are lower.

Just realised that these aren't alot of use in a Coupe as the fronts won't fold forward....
