Nearly there with the carpet removal on the S2, only problem that remains is the front section that people cut. Run out of go to get it finished but glad I started, the sound deadening is like a sponge, absolutely soaked through on both sides, front and rear
Are there any BTDTs on carpet removal, just the last bit to get sorted...

It's a right fecker, without removing the dash and heater-box, it can however be done if you remove the bottom bits of ducting off the heater box then get really angry with it.

Right, thought that might be the case The rest was pretty much out anyway, just had to remove the lower section of the centre console, all done now. I've removed all the ducting that you describe and can't see any thing else holding it in other than a bit of friction. Will see if I can get a helper for that bit I think...

All gone! Horrible sodden sound deadening out now too, just got to tidy it up tomorrow and get all the cables tied up out the way, will get most of the plastic trim back in to cover it up, doesn't weigh much TBH. Will leave it like that till I can get the bloomin' leaks sorted
If it stays like this then I'll get a foot plate made up to the correct dimensions, needs to be about 2" high to work properly.
JAYSUS, THAT CARPET IS HEAVY!!!

When I replaced mine with a black one I didnt bother trying to get it back under the heater etc, just a straight cut across (front to back of car) on the bit that "goes round the back" and then it could be just tucked in on either side.
Once its all back together you cannot see that its been done atall
Yeah, that's the plan if it doesn't fall back together. Then again, it'll be like the spare wheel, I'll get used to having less weight and then it'll take permanent residence in the 'spares cupboard'
It just keeps heading towards a track car, just got to get myself up to track driving again now...
