    ok, which OE gearknobs fit?

I know Pix mentioned that at S3 knob would work but needed tapping out.

Any other 6spd VAG knobs that will fit the coupe?

    RS4?

I fitted an Alcantara RS4 knob to our S3, so I had to thread the stick. PITA to do, and a PITA to keep clean, but the Mrs likes it.
Now she just has to clean knob regularly, and give it the occasional shave to keep it tidy.

I think so. I can try it tomorrow.

I've been converted to Alcantara too now, since owning an S8 equipped with the stuff. Not too hot, not too cold, and grips better than leather.

It is a straight fit as I have a RS4 alcantara gear knob in my avant.

Te hard anodising changes the feel quite a bit as it insulates the metal. Have had one made from delrin too, that's rather different too.
