Hi, Iv got a 2.0 Audi 80, I got aux gauges for it today but didnt get the wiring, Iv wired the lives up to the ciggarette lighter and managed to get the volt gauge working, but the lights on the gauges are very dim, and only one works, if I put 2 bulbs in one goes out and the other just gets dimmer. Anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks
there is a specific relay that is needed for these it's a 12v 3.6w 3 pin relay 893 919 080 if you have the harness it's plug and play, otherwise you mess up the dash lighting and heater control lighting
The relay that plugs in right behind the gauges? , if so I have that, and the start of the loom to the fuse box, i wired it up from what I got off the loom, all other dash lights etc are fine, it just doesnt seem to be getting enough power
Asked a mate as he'd done the same thing, had to put a live to each bulb and they work fine , also, the sender that sits ontop of the oil filter, is that for the oil pressure or temperature? Thanks for the help
