Water inside

My car was getting a bit wet after all the rain that we got and today i pulled up the rear seat and there is actualy water sitting there.

any ideas where is is coming from?

I think the main area to check is where the bonnet cable enters the cabin.

If you have a sunroof check the drip tray where it tilts up. Also check your sun roof drain channels are clear. And if it's a coupe it could be a badly fitted windscreen with broken or missing clips

forgot to say its a 96 a6 c4 model

In that case check the scuttle drains. also check the rear screen washer hose.

If its under the back seat check around the rear door seal, I bought a c4 for parts and its parked out in the yard now with two inches of water in the rear footwell and under the back seat . Mine is coming in around the door seal, I couldnt figure it out for ages.

I presume a saloon rather than an Avant ?
