    Seat belt harness buckles.

I was refitting the front seatbelt harness to the floor guide rail when I noticed that the the seatbelt buckles face outwards with the belt running straight down to the floor on my car.

The assembly illustration I have shows the buckles facing inwards with the lower part of the each belt having a single twist on them to accommodate for this.

I'd be interest to hear what you guys have on your cars as I'm wondering if the belts have been installed incorrectly at some point in the cars past.

So does your car (coupe or avant) have "inward" or an "outward" facing belt buckles?

    Thank you for voting.

Mine face outwards, but i have had them off loads of times so they might be wrong! To me facing outwards makes more sense as the belt doesn't need to twist at either end

I'll see if I can take a pic later if it helps?

unless I'm misunderstanding inward / outward and where twisting occurs...!

This comes up from the floor, over the side fitting, across me, through the buckle when its plugged in then back to the floor rail with no twists, it's hard to catch on camera...

/\ That's how I have mine too, which I understood from Rob's description to be facing outwards i.e. away from the body

I have the same setup as Chris's car. By outward facing I mean that the buckles can be seen at the front of the harness, and inward meaning that the buckle is behind the harness.

Or to put it another way, "outward" means they are facing into the cabin and "inward" means that they are facing out of the cabin. Sorry for any confusion caused.

I thought there must be some confusion with this...

my buckles face the b pillar with a twist at the bottom, if they dont theres a twist behind the b pillar trim maybe

also I voted wrongly because I thought outwards meant out from the car and inward towards the inside of the car
