Mdz: indeed great work there. I wish I had the time and patience you have!

Where are you located by the way? Maybe you could do mine! Haha

How did you bond the 2 together again? Glue or screws?

Did my own on the s6. Drilled out the plastic welds to seperate the door cards into two pieces. Glued on alcantara and then bonded the two parts back together. Took about 1.5hrs for each doorcard.

The ones with sunblind is from my dads A6. Don't have any photos of backside, but it is the same as regular card except with sunblind bolted on top. It's OEM part btw.
Here's that same card before i got my hands on it

Nuvo - i'm folding it into that gap all around.

Brilliant work there mdz. Are you folding the edges of the material back on itself to create the rounded appearance?

Nice work, feel a Group Trim coming on.

Love the sun blind in the rear door card.

Any photos of the back of that door card ?

    Thanks for sharing.

It's not very hard but takes some time, patience and know-how's.
First you have to remove any old foam from cards, glue on fresh one (using glue or there is foams with glue already on like stickers), approx 5mm thick and then glue on cloth, leather or anything you want using spray glue. It's PITA to cut the cloth in right size and place it properly because it needs to be done quickly and precisely with glue sprayed on. If you misplace it, most likely you must throw it out and cut a new one.
    Here's my works:

I have retrimmed 3 sets of B4 cards, one set C4, 3 sets of B4 pillar covers and lots of headliners. I'm not working at trim shop or anything, just tried and successfully did it.

That's one way of doing it. However mine are completely perished their foam so they need stripping and doing them from the bare plastic

My bespoke interior has all door cards retrimmed in green leather
It appears to be stock black cloth underneath and green leather applied over it
Must of cost a fortune ! Seats obviously match too

Can't see why it's so difficult, sounds like the trimmers were saying no because they wanted to rather than the car being actually difficult.
