Greetings,
Recently had a few hot spots in the seat and now is cold. The leather version elements are obsolete but the cloth version are still available from tradition. Anyone fit a UrS cloth element into a UrS leather seat before with good results?
Brrrr...
The leather version, 4A0963555F, as you suggest Jeff is NLA in NAmerica and NLA at Audi Tradition.
I would guess that the cloth one draws fewer amps/is a lower wattage than the leather version because the leather would be more of an insulator than the jacquard cloth. On that basis, the cloth version would probably work fine with leather (but not necessarily the other way around).

Doubt if that would work, even if the junk yard would allow you to destroy/dismantle the seat to harvest the heating element. The UrS4/S6 lower seat heating element is different because it (4A0963555F ) is designed to work with the segmented lower seat bottom.
Jeff: be aware that there is another lower heating element, at the rear (pun not intended): 4A0963555D

There is only one element for the base - there are two different overall shapes depending if you have cloth or pleated the nappa leather.
The URS4 and URS6 ones are also slightly different but the same size & shape.
You can make the non-leather one work simply by carefully cutting the element foam/scrim to separate it into sections to suit the pleats.
Early B5 S4 is very similar and can be made to fit really easily also.
