At last! My Avant fits me!!!

We all know the short comings of the s2 avant when it comes to driving position! Im of the 6'3'' variety wigh a leather interior and sunroof! And in prob more legs than anything else so ive never felt confortable in it. Im in the process of making up some subframe to mount some race seats which i should be able to make me fit better!!

But..... In the meantime, i decided to space thd steeringwheel, thus alliwing the seat to got back anc down! Got a quick release hub, bolted ut up and its great!!!! More headroom, legs at better angle and arns, and knees dont get trapped under wheel! Yup indicators etc are couple of inches further away, but ok if youve got big hands too! Lol

I have the same problem in my avant, weird that it doesn't happen in the coupe, even with the same seats.

Would you care to share exactly what hub you bought?

No probs at all. I bought this one. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=151986354172

It came all branded sparco. But theres loads out there. Lined up to wheel no problem. Not right size on hub so 6 new holes required. Horn works fine too.

There are 2 PCDs for steering wheels: 70 & 74mm. Mardy tend to be the 74mm, hence why it didn't fit?

The stock wheel is offset 10mm, so get a 350 mm aftermarket one and they're much nicer

              Déjà vu

The extra spacers are there, because I have a shallower steering wheel + a bucket seat moved even more backwards than possible with the original seat. Not pretty, but for now serves the purpose of a mockup for a billet spacer that I will do in the future.

P.S. I rotated my stock steering wheel hub 180 degrees. That way the wheel is offset down, because the spacers make it too high. I had to slightly modify it, so the turn signal canceler is also moved 180 degrees across.
