  • CobraRTP - Real-Time EPROM Emulator!

    Good day!
I want to present you an affordable EPROM emulator for ECU tuning - CobraRTP!
This device allows you to adjust the fuel injection, ignition, rev-limit, etc. in real time!

This device supports a very powerful map tracing function in TunerPRO, and is not inferior in functionality to Moates Ostrich 2.
The device is offered in several versions: USB and Bluetooth (wireless), which can be convenient in various cases.
CobraRTP supports Motronic m2.3.2 and others.
    Supports chip emulation: 27c128, 27c256, 27c512, 28f512 and 87c257.

We also provide an adapter for boost chip (87c257-27c256), which makes it possible to use an emulator as a boost chip in Motronic m2.3.2 and similar turbochargers (for more information: http://cobrartp.ru/store/Boost-brdp.117832391) .

you have a very bad loop in the kit for connecting to the unit. it broke in a few months without changing the computer, use soft wires in the loop in the future, but in general the emulator is very decent

Thanks for the comments! You can always get a replacement one! Unfortunately, this is the standard type of cable that is offered in the industry. I think we will take other measures. Thanks!

i have and i can reccomend it works very well! but i ask you a question Aleksander. for emulate turbo chip 87c512 we have to use the adapter that make connector too high for close the 2 boards together. it should move the adapter out of the motronic, like with a male/female socket extension

This is some pretty cool technology, if I still had my old 3B I’d have been very interested in this as I was all set to bolt on a big K26/7 and fit larger injectors and getting Motronic remapped properly these day is virtually impossible.

As above you really need to design it so the ECU can be closed up again properly, that’s the only thing that would put me off if I was in market for such a product.

Remove the double stacked sockets from everything and it will fit!

interesting, but can't find any info specifically for Audi 5 cyl at:https://cobrartp.com/en/store/motronicrt/ ...
Or, is it just me who doesn't know where to look?

Is this a real alternative to e.g. Maxxecu?

Would be great if someone who has tested it could share more specific info than that it "works fine" ... :0

This chap seems to like it and from what I've read on their site it sounds like very good value if you want to be able tune your own car, something previously impossible with Motronic.

                          Hello hello.

                          What did you wonder about?

You emulate directly on the chip on the motronic 2.3.2 , then you run and tune in TunerPro RT.
You can flash a chip later with the settings.

It would be like a maxxecu but not widely supported and a bit different setup, I think it has some limitations when it comes to certain stuff.

                            1) I wonder about if anyone have tried it, and if so, have a "howto" on how to use it.

                            2) From my findings it's only the "turbo" chip that's supported ?

                            3) what's the actual limitations vs MaxxEcu ?

                              1) I guess it would be similar to other TunerPro software tuning, not tried myself
                              2) Not sure what the turbo chip is
                              3) If its the same as the m232.org I think it was logging and some adjustment when you pass 8000rpm or something.

                              4) Maxx, many people have used it and have base maps and setups and easy to tune
