Limits of 3B ECU (as opposed to ABY and/or AAN)

It looks I'm reviving a really old server lol. A little bit of introduction on my first post: I'm a college student who loves VW/Audi stuff, especially the 20v EA113 and 034 motors. In the span of 2 years, I (to my surprise) acquired cars that have each motor. I'm by no means an expert in old Audis, but I'm hoping to learn a lot. I'm not an idiot when it comes to car mechanics. I also have a technological background; I understand digital (and a bit of analog) electronics, as well as old microprocessors and assembly language (although I've never really got into Intel assembly or 8051 assembly for that matter).
Anyway, I picked up a '91 200Q with the 3B engine a few months ago. Needless to say, it's going to need a lot of work to get running again. In the meantime, I've been doing as much research as I can during my free time regarding modifications, especially information pertaining to the ECU. I found this site, m232.org, s2central.com, and even found some informational stuff on 034 which have all been great resources. One thing that I haven't been able to clearly find a straight answer for is what are the limitations of the 3B ECU?
After looking at the m232 schematic on prj's github repo, I soon realized that the schematic is slightly different than my ECU (btw: would anyone know where I could view/get the 3B specific schematic?). I understand that the ABY and AAN ECUs used coil-over-plug ignition, which explains some of the schematic differences, but was anything else modified from the 3B ECU to the ABY and AAN ECU hardware?
    Thanks.

The ABY ECU runs faster processing and bigger EPROMs and is altogether more powerful.
You can your 3B fairly easily to the later ECU by doing the “Pin Swap” a search on here should bring up a thread with all you need to know. You can then if you wish go the M232 route and go speed density tuneable.

There was a 3B schematic on here a while ago, a search might bring it up. Probably posted by s2central.
