I ended up with a Calearo ANC7677932 which is the correct angle and fits into the roof property with OEM equivalent seals and also has DAB. Reception is great.
It was fine until I unplugged it and messed trying to fit a ignition feed but then put it back and now it just crackles on local stations as though the aerial isn't connected at all

To get the radio to work with the 4 wire ISO you have to connect both constant and switched from the radio to the 12v on the ISO

Or if the radio is ISO then bridge A4 and A7

That’s correct. There’s a thin red on the back of the ignition switch that’s stays on till you pull the key.

Anyway, take the switched power out from the radio and connect it to the white to power the aerial

Audi have never had an ignition feed to the radio on these cars. It's battery 12v only via fuse 4.

    You'll want antenna, funnily enough.

I'll get some shots later , definitely no ignition feed.

A5 goes live when radio is switched on. I *think* it’s a white wire in the car but not sure.
