Do you think the dash will be difficult to cut? Or would it just be easier to find some speakers that would require no cutting...

      Beetie,

the das job would require some skills because the windshield is quite close to the speaker hole. Apart from that the ears of the model shown on ebay should be removed, too. A round shaped speaker would fit more easily. Working inside the speaker hole is quite a sheete arbeit because you don't see the tip of you cutter tool. You have to watch it from outside the glass...

Hi Jamo, Just want to pick your brain. I've got the DKC 108's upfront and would like to upgrade the original rears. I take it they are 5 1/4". What do you recommend? can I go to the 6"? I'm looking at the focals at the moment. Is it an easy swap or is it like the Cabrio and the speakers are built into a silly subframe thing. All ideas are appreciated.

I don't know the answer to that one, but FatAudi80 should be your man.
Theres another person, forum name escapes me, Mike i believe, i'll look it up.

I have 6x9 in my rear side quarters as that is what my car came with so i dont know what will fit standard.

If you want to push a little more through your fronts (i use my dkc108 as tweeters basically) then try the JBL 4" speakers. They sound good, and i have a brand new pair as backup.
