I does fit on the dashboard but......

The work involved for a proper fitting it's not so simple.
First thing the Concert it's bigger....
Second most of them work on can/bus mode

Here's what i've done with mine:

Trim the front of the Concert down to the size of the dash
this mean sanding off the wide (L/R sides)of the front panel (easy deatachable) and also trim the upper part of the plastic of the same front panel in dpth about 1,5 mm
otherwise you'll hit the bottom of the switches and Concert it would not go in.
It seems odd but in the end it's not so difficult
I used a professional paper sanding bench roller (hope you understand what I mean)
and a blade cutter to gain the required size...lot of patience and precison it's required thoug.
Then for a perfect OEM look without using dremel etc...
Bought from Audi the box that holds the air vents switches and radio from the latest Audi 80 cabriolet (2000) on ETKA you can see two different sizes of this box/holder for the latter Cabrio one it's the usual din the other one states a wider radio opening (circa 21.3mm) the part it's not so expensive I paid 46.00 euro for it.

For Can/bus solution I got a kufatec adaptor from kufatech.de a bit expensive but works perfectly... plugnplay.

Eventually you'll end up with this:

I know this thread is old but I just got this on ebay and wanted to know will i need a can/bus adapter or is it plug and play. I know a few bits will need choppin not too worried about that just the connections.

I reckon that with that Concert you should be ok without the can/bus adapter. (95% sure)
Best thing it's checking with Elsawin (I believe someone has it in here) the connections for that Concert
Or you can post here a close picture of the label with the connections that you have on the back Concert.
Then I will tell you precisely if you need the adapter.

I can confirm that it is plug and play Now to take part of my dash apart and get cutting.

Just finished fitting it and it sits flush with the buttons at the top but not flush with the heating controls at the bottom not happy with it will probably pull it all out again soon and mod it a bit more will post some pics tommorow.

sorry to bump something old like this, but can you give me a few details about your can bus adapter?

Will that work in b3/b4 cars?
                          Thank you
