I'm planning to commission a whole load of work from Dean at Four Rings in Dartford next week - a range of mechanical and interior trim maintenance work.
One of the other things I'd like to do is upgrade the hifi as the passenger side front speaker doesn't work and the whole set up sounds dated. However whatever upgrades are done, I'd like as little modification to the car as possible.
So I've got a Pioneer DEH-X8700DAB on order and a Kenwood under seat active sub for a bit more oomph.
The speakers in the rear passenger doors are 2 way component by JBL. As far as I can tell, the tweeters don't work. I'm in two minds about leaving them for now and seeing whether they can be fixed. But I don't know if they're stock or not...my hunch is that they're after market.
Speakers up front appear to be stock and certainly need an overhaul. Any replacement recommendations for these? JBL/Harmon Kardon or JL Audio are the preferred brand but open to suggestions.
