Started making a sub box last week for my car that would fit into the cubby hole on the right of the coupe boot. So far I have the basic structure done which isnt too bad. But not perfect so I need to smooth it off, add some more screws. Fit a speakon and carpet or paint it now.
@ Jamo, I think the narrow part at the bottom fits into the cubby on the right hand side of the boot at the back, so effectively the sub would be pointing upwards... (I think!)
Cheers,
Steve.

Thats a pretty interesting shape Greg. Thinking of going into the speaker business?
Mmmm, maybe its a hidden vocation in life. LOL
It was al C's box that inspired me to try it, never used fibreglass before so decided to use MDF since i thought it would probably be more rigid too. Sub faces upward. The notch in the top side of the box is for the parcel shelf mount to fit into. I dint realise Al used a speakon on his, which is exactly what I am using since I had a few chassis sockets knocking around at home.
If only I still had the pictures of the box i made to fit in the side of my golf.
I made it out of about 25 layers of 18mm mdf, each one cut slightly different to the last to get the profiled shape - a bit like doing a 3d map in relief.
It weighted a ton, it destroyed about 15 jigsaw blades, cost me a fortune in wasted MDF and lastly sounded sheete! Not making that mistake again!
The thing I was most proud of about the 'condom' was the changeable baffle - 10 x M6 bolts held the baffle in place - I used a 10" but could have swapped it out for a 12" if I could have found a sub to work in the .625 enclosure.
Lol , looks like it'll work all right, as long as you've got enough volume in it, dont forget the wadding, you can tune a bit with the amount you put in..
I could do with some decent sounds in my car, I've got amps (screwed to the carpet in the pasenger footwell) but running the stock speakers, the remote CD autochanger skips like a b'stard, the aerial doesn't work so no radio, front drivers side speaker blown.. talk about the cobblers shoes, eh?
Hmm need new head unit, some new spks for the dash, and where's that 12" I put under the bench..
