I've pulled together some of the wheel alignment threads into this one. Also of interest may be the post form sometime back about alignment.

The car is not a daily driver, but it is used for road trips, auto-x and what we call here in the states, a canyon carver. I am running about 1.5 negative camber, negative caster, and a degree of toe in. I have been running this setup for about 2 years, 9,000 miles, and have not found tread wear to be abnormal. I run Yokohama AVS Intermediates, which they don't make anymor. They have a tread wear rating of 150.

Toe in and toe out will effect tire wear a lot more than a negative camber. I rotate every oil change, so wear is more even.

I am currently running a 19 mm rear bar, but I find I still have a little too much push at lower speeds. When I am running canyons, it works fine. I would like to use the camber bolts on the rear, to get a little more camber. It is pretty close to Zero. Also I have heard that 1 degree toe out in the rear helps with turn in.

    Hope that helps

    Greg

Heavy Duty is an option used on things like police cars, fire vehicels and other special vehicles. I believe it is designed to take a hammering over rough terrain.

The standard is for CQ and the sports for S2's according to the book we looked at for the tracking machine.

These are option codes for different suspension systems. Each one has different dampers and springs (and different alignment)

at last!, i remember mentioning this to someone on the forum and they called me a liar.

When i had mine done we had to assume it was the sports suspension (it was a lexus dealership!)

Where are the adjustment bolts at the rear for toe and camber? What the torque setting for the rear shock top and bottom locking bolts?

Anyone have the RS2 alignment settings

    Hi all

I'm going to be replacing (well not personally) all the rubber bits under my RS2 soon and would like to make sure the guys put all the bits back facing the correct way. I never really trust these alignment machines as they often don't have the RS2 per say on the computers. Anyone have the actual alignment settings for the RS2. I see the S2 settings are on S2Central, but I guess the RS would be different.

    Thanks guys
    Andre

Now you've lost me. The standard and the sports running gear alignment specs are the same as quoted in Audi reference material. Only the heavy duty running gear is different which I don't have listed for the Coupe - it's only listed for the avant.
